It is the policy of this nursery to recruit staff with as wide a range of skills, experience and cultural and religious origins as possible, that these may be drawn upon to enhance and develop the education and life skills of the children in our care.
The staff in Little Ladybirds are absolutely amazing the time and effort put into the summer project is unbelievable. Their hard work doesn’t go un-noticed as Ella loves nursery and all the staff who care for her –Emma Daggett.
EDUCATION and PLAY

We firmly believe in the power of play as the natural way for children to learn. The world is an exciting place and we encourage children to explore and to experience new things. We work towards the Early Years Foundation Stage which is a Government document which supports and guides everyone working with children in the early years.

 

We use this framework to assist us in our planning of activities, experiences and daily routines.  We plan according to the six areas of learning which are;

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Communication, Language and Literacy,
  • Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy,
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the World
  • Physical Development
  • Creative Development.

 

Children learn best when they feel safe, secure and happy in their environment. Whilst your child is playing they are actively learning about science, numeracy, literacy, creativity, life and the world around them. ‘Play is a child’s work’
